This Guy Can Shred On A Mandolin

Step aside Joe Satriani, Buckethead, and Zakk Wylde – what you do on guitar this guy can do on the Mandolin! For those unfamiliar, the mandolin is a musical instrument resembling a lute, having paired metal strings plucked with a plectrum (traditional name for a guitar pick).  Unlike a guitar that has 6 strings, the mandolin typically has 8 strings.

Watch Chris Thile perform Bach’s Sonata with speed and tact deserving of any master guitar shredder. You don’t have to be a fan of the Mandolin, or of Bach, to appreciate his talent.
